History Of The Garment

One of the first time the word ‘maxi’ appeared in newspapers was a July 1966 and a report from Paris focused on Jacques Syma‘s collection that included the micro-mini skirt and its counterpart the maxi skirt. It became a part of the 1960s youth trend and was established in the mainstream fashion by the 1970s. The maxi dress became the quintessential clothing for the moment, as boho trends started to merge into the mainstream and blended perfectly with the maxi's style.
