History Of The Garment
St. Michael was the house brand of UK based department store chain, Marks & Spencer. The company was founded by Michael Marks in Leeds, England, in 1884. He was joined by Thomas Spencer in 1894, and the first proper shop opened in 1904. By 1928, St Michael had been registered as a trademark and rapidly became synonymous with the M&S name, appearing on clothing labels.
