History Of The Garment
A popular style in the 50’s was the full skirted, tea length dress, often called swing dress with snug fitting tops with narrow high waistlines shin-length or tea-length skirts. Traditionally, a tea dress was worn to a late afternoon or early evening event, typically with dancing, live music and where tea might be served. Also became fashionable for Rockabilly the earliest styles of rock and roll music and worn Rockabilly dances.
