History Of The Garment
The United States Shoe Corporation not only manufactures, imports and sells 25 of the most popular brands of shoes in the United States and around the world. Red Cross Shoe Company was created by the Somervell Brothers within their American brands, but in Britain had to be called “Gold Cross Shoes” because of the charity Red Cross. During this time Somervells had reluctantly been forced to take over several failing independent retail agents, and in 1937 they were faced with the failure of the multiple group Abbots Limited from Cumbria, England and had 60 shops mainly in London
